Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Have you ever met someone and just clicked? You’re nodding about the same things—like making sure kids have access to healthy meals, supporting teachers, and building a community where families thrive?

I have. And that’s why I’m thrilled to be running for the District 3 School Board this fall—alongside William W. Dolphin. There are two open seats, and we figured: why not team up and give voters a dynamic duo who truly puts kids and families first?

Why the two of us?

Well, to put it simply:

It’s Black and white.

Literally. I’m a Black woman born and raised right here in the district.

Wen’s a white guy who married into the community (smart man).

We’re different in a lot of ways—and we love that. But we share the same values when it comes to our schools:

We’ve both spent countless hours in classrooms and cafeterias, talking to teachers, students, and families.

We believe that board decisions should always start with one question: What’s best for the kids?

We support nutritious school meals, mental and physical wellness, and making sure teachers have the tools and support to help every child succeed.

And we believe strong schools build strong communities.

This race won’t be easy. Good things rarely are. But that’s why we’re reaching out—because we can’t do it without you.
